“You know you can’t give me what I need
And even though you mean so much to me
I can’t wait through everything.”
I just thought this would be interesting to share to you guys that are interested in the music I share. This is taken from my Last.fm account. (Add me as a friend if you have it!)
But yeah these are my top tracks and top artists. I like to think I have a nice eclectic taste in music and this helps prove it.
Welcome to the new and improved “Music That Inspires Me”, a few people have asked why the songs are “inspiring” when in reality they’re not, it’s more just music I write too, not necessarily music that inspires said writing. So with that in mind yeah this segment is going to be called “Writing Playlist”, over time I will go back and change previous ones to reflect this title but it may take a while to do them all.
So let’s get to it, the first song is I.O.U by Dappy (from N-Dubz) but before you’re like “LOLWHAT?” seriously just give it a listen, I was very VERY surprised that not only can he actually sing, the lyrics match how I am feeling at the moment and seem very relatable to other people too so yeah, just give it a listen. You can find the lyrics after the jump.
Last post from me today guys, my first 10 pages will be up tomorrow!
“I want you to know with everything I won’t let this go,
These words are my heart and soul.
I’ll hold on to this moment you know,
As I bleed my heart out to show and I won’t let go.”
Not done one of these in a while and this song came on randomly on iTunes and it has to be one of my favourite H.I.M songs!
Music That Inspires Me is a regular (usually weekly) feature here on Words Form Windows, it is my chance to share with you the music that I listen to when writing or that I find inspirational in other ways.
My inspirational music this week comes from YouTuber, WordPress Blogger and a friend of a friend of mine called Bridie. She has recently started a YouTube channel to which she uploads ukulele covers of songs, that range from Sesame Street to Six Pence None The Richer.
I guess in some ways for this post, it’s not just the music that inspires me but the person! It’s a hard thing putting yourself out there onto the world of the internet on such a public place as YouTube.
And, as I mentioned, she has a blog too! Her blog, Teatime With Bunny, is a poetry blog which she writes too occasionally and I fully recommend going and reading some of her work. You can view her blog here. And check out her most recent video below!
