YouTube – I Started A Vlog

Hellooooo

Some of you may remember about a year ago (last April to be exact) I posted the following blog post. In which I spoke about how I wanted to get into making YouTube videos again….well that’s finally happened!

Below are the three videos I’ve done so far, from the first one to the last. Hopefully you’ll notice in each video I’m feeling a little more confident with it as they go along.

If you like what you see and feel like supporting me feel free to subscribe.

Here are they videos: Continue reading

Conclave of Shadows

Hello guys!

I have decided that I don’t want my main blog (wordsformwindows.com) to be where I post personal issues about my life and stresses with uni and blah blah. I want it to be dedicated to my writing and any journalistic articles I write big or small. So I decided to start Conclave of Shadows. (Click and you shall be taken there)

COS will be my personal blog for any rantings and ravings, things that’re interesting to me, things to repost from other blogs etc. This will stream lines wordsformwindows.com into a more focused site where any people who want to check out my written work can without trawling through personal posts unrelated to my writing ability. This decision is largely based on that fact that I graduate in May and want to try and get as professional as I can do.

Feel free to follow me if you believe I will be an interesting character to follow haha!

P.s. The header for the blog is just temporary, I’m going to redesign Wordsformwindows.com’s look to make a slightly more universal approach between these two blogs and Fresh Ink another blog I own.

Guest Post: Chapter 1 – Refuge by Meredith Blake

Hi guys, the following excerpt is from a story she is writing at the moment, no title was submitted but if you go over to “Almond Girl” (http://merryblake.wordpress.com/) which is her blog then I am sure you can find some more information and give her any feedback you see fit! If you have anything you want featured on this blog or on Fresh Ink, this sites sister blog then send me an e-mail: contact@wordsformwindows.com

Here is the first paragraph, click the link at the end for the full chapter!

“I’m huddled in the overhang of a doorway waiting for Ordree and Leon to come back from their scout so we can return to the loft together. They should be back soon, so I’ll give them five more minutes before quitting. There aren’t any clocks this side of town, but the faint clinking of the gears from the Industrial Quarter is as good alternative as any. Once I get to three hundred clicks, I’ll leave and let them get back on their own. Loitering will eventually catch unwanted attention. Something we definitely do not need right now.”

Site Update – Finally

So if you’re reading this (on the PC at least) you’ll be seeing the new layout, what do you think? It is across the website and my Facebook page, which also has a new URL: http://www.facebook.com/wordsformwindows

If there are any suggestions you can think of let me know and I will make them if necessary.

Main suggestions I’m looking at is whether it easy to read for everyone. See the gallery below for the images I have created for the new update.

The picture I used for the header is Continue reading

Fresh Ink

Things are going well over on Fresh Ink, there are now four (soon to be five) writer’s on the blog.

Hopefully more content will soon be posted there and the blog will finally find it’s feet and get itself off the ground.

For anyone interested in the blog, head on over and bookmark it, or follow it.

Interest

I have had some interest in writing for my blog (this one) recently, of course this is my personal blog, but I have decided that depending how well written the articles are I would be willing to open the doors to guest articles. I won’t publish more than maybe two or three a week, I will schedule them as I receive them to post automatically, so it doesn’t matter how many I receive, but I will schedule them in a “first come first serve” manner. For example, the order the finished articles come into my inbox I will schedule them straight away.

This is a great opportunity for your own blog, as it will of course link back to your personal blog, and it is a good thing for my blog, as it gets more and more content on the blog.

If anyone is interested in this, feel free to e-mail me: contact@wordsformwindows.com

And of course, as I mentioned the other day, the other blog I write for, Fresh Ink, is open to any and all writers, email me on the address above for more information about becoming a writer on the blog.

Fresh Ink – Write For Us

I may have posted about this a while back when I first started the blog, at first it was just for me and a friend but I have decided to open up to others now so we can hopefully get a good community going.

Basically me and fellow blogger Lukeknwls run another blog called Fresh Ink. The purpose of this blog is to share our writing in another place that generates more content that is focused around writing, any forms.

Unfortunately there haven’t been many posts on it recently, I have instead been concentrating on and posting to this blog mainly.

I am putting the call out to anyone who wants to write for the blog, either by sending me their name and article and me posting it for you or by becoming a proper user of the blog and posting yourself. The way this works is you create the post, the same way you would for your own blog and it gets submitted for approval to either me or Luke and after a quick read through we allow the post and it shows up on the page. Simple!

If you would like to write for the blog, feel free to email me at: contact@wordsformwindows.com

I will be in touch as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Dan
