Every time I saw you my face,
Lit up into the biggest smile.
Every time we touched my,
Skin tingled, shivers down my spine.
Every time I think of you now,
All I feel is regret, it’s for the best but,
Loving you hurts, just as much now as it did back then.
Poetry is many things. It’s words on a page. It’s paint on a canvas. It’s music in our ears.
It is you as a child, sat in your room casting shadow puppets on the wall in the glow of your night light.
The video below is poetry.
I promised you I’d be there,
Your guardian angel.
But now my wings have been clipped,
Fallen below, I can not rise.
I wander around down here in the dirt and the dust,
Not looking forward, just constantly gazing up.
I wrote a song for someone once, with the idea that she’d eventually record it and she actually did! I completely forgot that I’d put the poem/song up here and I’ve just been reading through my poetry on the site as I’ve rediscovered a love for writing it and I stumbled across it again so here is the song as performed by the lovely Chlo O’Donnell (psst, she’s really good you should check her out!) and below the video (after the jump) I’ll put a link to the lyrics!

shoes precisely tied
socks uniformly turned
the feet tidy definite
seem to have forgotten
to dress for an encounter
This is one I wrote in my first of university, quickly gone through to make it a little better, enjoy!
No courage in me.
So I invite you round
Whisper sweet nothings into your ear
It’s all a poetic lie
Nothing but sweet rhymes
To appease and paralyze Continue reading
Fall from the sky,
Science at work,
Beauty the product.
Your skin so blue,
what lies in the depths of your oceans?
Diamonds litter the seabed.
Faint rays of light reflecting,
